Worker’s Compensation Evaluation and Treatment
Dr. Croft helps injured workers by referral. Worker’s compensation insurance covers medical care for injured workers. He is familiar with workers compensation guidelines for evaluation and treatment.
Independent Medical Exams
In these examinations, Dr. Croft does not act as a treating physician. A doctor/patient relationship is not established. The purpose of these examinations is to provide the requesting party with an objective assessment of the examinee’s condition, functional ability and prognosis. As part of an IME, Dr. Croft may be asked to assess the relationship between the examinee’s condition and a specific injury.
Disability and Fitness for Duty Exams
Social Security Administration
These exams are part of the claimant’s evaluation for Social Security Disability and are requested by the State Department of Disability Determination Services. Dr. Croft serves as a Consultative Examiner for the Social Security Administration. These exams address the claimant’s neurological diagnosis, prognosis and functional capabilities.
VA/Traumatic Brain Injury
These examinations are requested on behalf of the Veterans Administration to evaluate the extent of Traumatic Brain Injury.
NFL Players with effects of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy
Dr. Croft examines former National Football League Players to assess the effects of chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
Medical Expert Witness
Dr. Croft has served as a medical expert in a variety of legal settings including personal injury, medical malpractice, and criminal matters. He works with plaintiff and defense attorneys. Dr. Croft’s role is not to advocate for the retaining party. Instead he objectively evaluates the medical evidence in order to render an opinion to help the court understand the issues in the case.
Dr. Croft has 30+ years experience in assisting in legal cases. He has given depositions and has appeared in court to testify.
Neurology Specialty Clinics–SSLCs
Dr. Croft is the Neurology Consultant to the Richmond, Brenham and Austin State Supported Living Centers. He evaluates and treats adult residents of these facilities.
